Blog for Rocky View Schools
In 2011 RVS launched a jurisdictional blog site called The Power to Enrich. A 2011 – 2014 Three Year Planning initiative, the Power to Enrich was created to provide a forum for discussions surrounding 21st Century teaching and learning as it evolved within RVS. Staff members from all facets of the jurisdiction were invited to weigh in on topics such as emerging technologies, leadership, community learning, and more, giving readers an opportunity to become more familiar with RVS’ Three Year Plan. Garnering thousands of hits, the Power to Enrich sparked conversation and promoted a culture of sharing and participation.
As we head into Year Two of our Three Year Plan, we want to get the blog rollin' again. For each instructional day during the 2012/13 school year, RVS’ Power to Enrich will feature a new blog post written by a staff, student, or community member. Bloggers may write about any topic pertaining to 21st Century teaching and learning, as they have experienced it as a member of RVS' learning community. The Power to Enrich will serve as a window into our schools, jurisdiction, and communities, so that our stakeholders can accompany us as we continue along our journey towards becoming a true 21st Century learning organization!
