Overview of Fees

For the academic year 2012-2013, RVS’ international student fees are:

Application of Fees

(a)     If a child will be living in Canada with a parent who has a Visitor Visa and will be staying no more than 180 days in Canada:

  • international fees apply
  • the child does not require a study permit

 (b)    If a child will be living in Canada (without his/her parents):

  • international fees apply
  • the child will require a Study Permit
  • the child will require a local 'custodian' - click here for the 2 forms that will need to be completed, notarized and submitted to Citizenship and Immigration Canada with application for study permit.

(c)  If a child will be living in Canada with a parent who has landed immigrant status OR, study permit OR, work visa:

  • international fees do not apply
  • proof of the parent's documentation and copy of child's passport will be required
  • the child will require a Study Permit

 (d)  If a child will be living in Canada with a parent who has purchased a home within our school division:

  • international fees do not apply
  • proof of home ownership and a copy of child's passport will be required
  • the child will require a Study Permit

 (NOTE: In cases where it may be appropriate for a local person to apply for court-ordered guardianship of a child, an appointment must be set up with Family Justice Services 403-297-6981).

 

Refund of Tuition

  •  A full refund of tuition will be paid if a Study Permit is not provided by Immigration Canada. The student must submit to Rocky View Schools a letter of rejection from the Embassy, Consulate General, or High Commission.
  • A full refund of tuition will be paid if the student cancels his application prior to the start of his/her program.
  • A 45 percent refund of tuition will be paid for all students enrolled in a one year academic program, who withdraw by December 31.
  • No refunds are available for students enrolled in a one month or one semester program.
