First Nations, Métis, and Inuit: Think Indigenous – Culture Camp

Calgary Regional Consortium is offering an exciting and experiential cultural camp: Think Indigenous, to share ways of Indigenous being, knowing, doing and relating. Registration closes Monday, May 7! The camp will increase awareness and build foundational knowledge of Treaty 6, 7 & 8 Indigenous people, as well as creating a strong connection to the Métis perspectives and Inuit voices of Alberta. Sharing Indigenous history and knowledge, the camp will allow a deeper understanding of the connections to Reconciliation and the Calls to Action. The camp experience will include: land based learning, ceremony for men and women, learning from story, spiritual ceremony and more. The added experience of Tipi camping will enrich the elder teachings of Indigenous Peoples in Alberta. When: Thursday, May 31 - Friday, June 1. Where: Blackfoot Crossing Historical Park, Siksika.
