Mental Health First Aid: Adults who Interact with Youth Workshop

Adults who interact with Youth Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) will be holding a two-day workshop entitled “Adults who Interact with Youth” on April 11 & 12 2019 OR June 17 & 18 2019 at the Education Centre in Airdrie. This workshop can provide you with the skills needed to support young people, minimizing feelings of stress and worry when faced with their mental health needs. Adults who interact with Youth Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) will be holding a two-day workshop entitled “Adults who Interact with Youth” on April 11 & 12 2019 OR June 17 & 18 2019 at the Education Centre in Airdrie. The workshop will focus on mental health problems and first aid for youth ages 12 – 24 and is meant to assist education professionals, health providers, parents and other adults in the identification of mental health problems and appropriate first aid intervention strategies.

Feeling confident in your ability to support the young people who come to you with mental health concerns can go a long way in fostering your own professional and personal well-being. Having the education and training required to offer that support is necessary for that confidence. Mental Health First Aid: Adults Who Interact with Youth is one training that can provide you with the skills needed to support young people, minimizing feelings of stress and worry when faced with their mental health needs.
