Distributed Learning

Distributed, print or blended programs for home school families and distance learners The Rocky View Learning Connection (RVLC) provides flexible and innovative learning options for students in Grades 1 to 12, through the use of distributed, print and blended programming. There are three physical campuses in Airdrie, Chestermere and Cochrane, as well as an online campus found at <www.rvvs.com>. Up to $1500 in supplemental funding is available for students enrolled in RVLC:

Traditional Home Schooling - $700
Grade 1-9 Blended - up to $1500
Grade 10-12 Blended - $30/credit
Distributed - $1500

Annual Student Fees (Blended and Virtual)
Computer Technology Fee - $300
Access Fee - $100
Desktop Computer - $450
Field Trips/Seminars/etc. - Cost recovery
Resource Material Caution Fee - up to $150

In addition to its strong core and complementary program offerings, RVLC provides many opportunities for students to interact with other students and/or teachers. Field trips, on-site classes, science labs, picnics, and physical education activities are some of the ways the school community is brought together. The school also uses state of the art technology and software to allow for interaction over the Internet that was never possible before.
