Board Meeting Schedule

Moving to Real-Time Reporting

The Rocky View Leadership Academy (RVLA) is a full-year, five-credit course that connects Gr. 10 – 12 student leaders to each other and their communities. Provincial Funding Confirmed for School Nutrition Program
Minister of Education Adriana LaGrange recently announced that the Alberta government will continue to fund the School Nutrition Program. The province will allocate $15.5 million for the program this year, keeping it at the same level of funding as last year.

In response to parent feedback and to encourage the use of School Cash Online, RVS will launch myWallet, Oct. 15, 2019, as part of its Cashless Schools Initiative. myWallet will provide parents/guardians with a safe and convenient way to pay for items on School Cash Online.

Barb Holden, Principal, A.E. Bowers Elementary – Building on her own quest for understanding and tapping into the divisionally offered Design Cohorts, Mme Veronica Doyle has led our school community into deeper learning. Through on-going instructional design within the cohort, Mme Doyle connected with Chelsea Jackson, RVS Learning Specialist, and developed ‘Ripples of Change’- a project aimed at increasing our understanding of and awareness of Indigenous cultures and the Truth and Reconciliation Commission.

Delivering Hope and Changing Hearts
Stephen's Backpacks Society for Children in Need is an Airdrie-based charity focused on ending family homelessness in Southern Alberta and across the nation. Through its initiative Project Footprints, the Society donated $1,000 in Ardene gift cards to purchase shoes for children in need within Rocky View Schools.
