How do we define success for A.E Bowers students?

A.E. Bowers students demonstrate success in many ways. Our students love coming to school, are confident learners, and have an appreciation of self and others in a safe and caring environment. Along with parents, staff and community members, students have formed a strong community, sharing a passion for learning and teaching. Thus our students demonstrate effective citizenship, valuing others and their community. This positive approach to learning, caring and excellence in teaching is reflected in our students' academic achievements. Despite high participation rates on Provincial Achievement Tests which tend to bring averages down, our students continue to exceed provincial averages in meeting the acceptable standard in Language Arts and Mathematics.

What makes our school good and how do we know?

The safe, caring, welcoming environment; the committed, focused staff; the active parent community and strength of the school council;  leadership opportunities available for staff and students; infusion of technology into daily learning;  the physical aspect (computers, playgrounds, music room), the library being the center of the school; and the positive culture with many rich traditions and many new opportunities such as the Artist in Residence programs are all things that make our school a fantastic place to be! We are proud of our school, the accomplishments and efforts of its students and staff and the tremendous support from our parents.
