Quotes from Parent Advocates

“We have found administration open to new ideas and the lines of communications are always open and clear. Our experience with teaching staff has been the same. Any concerns we have had are addressed in an open and thoughtful manner. Our girls have matured and excelled as a result of their years at Bow Valley.” Parent of a Grade 11 student and graduate of Bow Valley

Bow Valley High School is a school that caters to all students' abilities, both in academics and hands on practical experience. The staff are also actively engaged in continuing to further their own education so that they can pass on their knowledge to the students. Bow Valley High School is not our designated school but we choose to send our children there because its the best learning environment for them.” Parent of a Grade 8 and Grade 11 student

How do we define success for Bow Valley students?

Students, in keeping with their gifts and talents, complete each grade with a foundation of knowledge, skills, and attitudes that effectively prepare them to function positively and effectively in life, work and continued learning.

What makes our school good and how do we know?

BVHS has created a positive and diverse learning and working environment that encourages strong relationships and collaboration between students, staff, parents, and the community. As a result of this foundation there is high level of participation and involvement and a strong desire by students and staff to achieve well-rounded success. These accomplishments are celebrated within BVHS and recognized by local and extended communities. BVHS celebrates continued strong results from school and provincial assessment measures which are reflected in our School Annual Results Report. Participation and enrollment in Leadership initiatives continues to grow. This has had a positive impact on the climate in the building for staff and students. Bow Valley continues to grow and evolve to best meet the needs of its learners. Through collected data and feedback, we have been able to respond in an efficient manner to support our learning community.
