How do we define success for our students?

Success for our students is defined through our motto, “Meadowbrook Pride”. Meadowbrook Pride recognizes five “Steps for Success”: P.R.I.D.E. = Positive, Respectful, Imaginative, Determined and Enthusiastic. Our belief is that having all stakeholders apply and model Meadowbrook’s “Steps for Success” facilitates life long positive growth for 21st Century learning.

What makes our school good and how do we know?

Meadowbrook Middle School is fortunate to have a supportive school community. Parents are actively involved in the school as demonstrated by three parent initiatives generated this year: creation of a welcome wagon committee; school involvement in the City of Airdrie’s Santa Clause parade; and a community BBQ. Students are actively demonstrating leadership and care for their school through a variety of student planned and run activities including staff appreciation events, student run kiosk to raise funds for a playground, spirit activities and school dances. Staff demonstrate caring and commitment to the school community by providing a wide variety of experiences to students through complementary course offerings and extra curricular opportunities in athletics and fine arts. As well, staff are continually striving to improve their professional practice.
