Scholarship Opportunity K-12 students
The John Hasselfield Endowment Foundation is a non-profit society created to provide support to young people who display a wanting desire for personal development and learning through education, sports/physical activity or visual/performing arts, who might otherwise not fulfill that desire because life has put financial obstacles in their path in ways beyond their control. Deadline for applications is October 01 and April 01.
APPLICANT CRITERIA
1. Be a student presently enrolled in an Alberta public school.
2. Provide a written essay (approximately 500 words) outlining
4. Use the funds allocated for the intended purpose and provide the directors with follow-up.
5. Be a Canadian citizen residing in Canada or permanent resident of Canada.
6. Apply only once in a 3 year period if successful.
It is important to convey a clear message to the Foundation Directors with your essay. Use as few or as many words as you feel necessary to tell us your story.
SELECTION
The directors of the John Hasselfield Endowment Foundation choose the successful applicants based on the above criteria. You may be contacted to discuss your application and to review the details in more depth. Finalist candidates will be contacted for an interview and the succesful candidate(s) notified within one month. Applications and documentation will not be returned.
VALUE
Each individual disbursement will be to a maximum of $350 and the Foundation may offer less than what was applied for by the applicant.
