Stephen's Backpacks Society for Children in Need is an Airdrie-based charity focused on ending family homelessness in Southern Alberta and across the nation. Through its initiative Project Footprints, the Society donated $1,000 in Ardene gift cards to purchase shoes for children in need within Rocky View Schools.

Provincial Funding Confirmed for School Nutrition Program
Minister of Education Adriana LaGrange recently announced that the Alberta government will continue to fund the School Nutrition Program. The province will allocate $15.5 million for the program this year, keeping it at the same level of funding as last year.

RVS Sets 2020 Provincial Achievement Test Schedule
Provincial Achievement Tests (PAT) are administered annually to all Alberta students in Gr. 6/9. These standardized tests reflect the core competencies that all students are expected to achieve, ensuring they are literate and numerate and possess the skill and knowledge to thrive in today's society.
