RVS Updates Scenario 1/2 Plans
Based on updated information from AHS we have adjusted our scenario plans.
School Re-entry - Aug. 28 Update
We are excited to welcome back approximately 85 per cent of RVS students to in-person classes, just over 11.5 per cent to RVS Online Learning and about 1 per cent to RVS’ homeschooling option this September.

School Re-Entry - Aug. 7 Update
With the return to school fast approaching Rocky Views Schools (RVS) is continuing to finalize plans that allow for the safe return to school for our students and staff.
Students Returning to School Under Scenario One
On July 21, 2020, the Government of Alberta announced that all Kindergarten to Gr. 12 students will re-enter school this fall under Scenario 1: in-school learning with class resuming at near-normal operations and health-measures.

One Song Glory Workshop Opportunity
One Song Glory is a fully subsidized six-weekend long intensive youth online musical theatre training program.The goal is to offer participants the guidance needed to develop a fruitful career in the performing arts. Interested students aged 13-19 are to register and submit an audition video. All who register can attend a free online Video Creation Workshop this summer with a chance to re-submit their audition videos, applying what they learned. Note, both performing and non-performing artists (writers, visual artists, poets, designers, filmmakers, stage managers) can apply. Deadline for submissions is June 11, 2021 at 5:00 pm.

Kindergarten registration for the 2021/22 school year opens Jan. 18.

Given the current transition many Rocky View Schools (RVS) families are experiencing this week as Grades 7 to 12 students move to temporary at-home online learning, we are extending the deadline for families to decide if they will change their child’s learning method (in-school or online). This change would be effective Feb. 1, 2021 and students would be committed to that mode of schooling for the remainder of the school year.
