Rocky View Schools (RVS) is pleased to announce A.E. Bowers Elementary School celebrated the grand re-opening of its playground with a ribbon cutting ceremony, Sept. 17, 2020. Principal Jocelyn Littlefair said, “Due to the extraordinary efforts of amazing people, we are overjoyed to share that our playground is in use and a beautiful addition to our school. During these unprecedented times, it’s important – now more than ever – to focus on, and celebrate, the good things in our community."

A.E. Bowers Elementary lost its beloved “blue playground” to a fire in the summer of 2019. Just over a year later, the school is pleased to see students enjoying the redesigned playground structure, which includes two slides, several climbing structures and soft green turf.

Due to physical distancing guidelines, the ceremony welcomed a small group of people that included members of the Board of Trustees, school administration and seven appointed student delegates.
