Regional Collaborative for Calgary & Area

About the organization

CRVSHPRegional Collaborative for Calgary & Area (RCCA) provides a range of coordinated, school-based services intended to support children and youth to be successful at learning. RCCA professionals visit students in their own schools and emphasize solutions that will help them participate more fully in daily educational activities. Services may include emotional-behavioral supports such as family-school liaison and mental health services and/or rehabilitation services such as speech-language therapy, occupational therapy and/or physical therapy. Treatment is centered on the development of short-term goals that have a lasting impact in helping students reach their learning potential.

Who can access these services?

Services are available for any Kindergarten to Grade 12 student who meets the following criteria: the student’s health needs impact his/her educational outcomes; the student is not currently receiving public sector service from another provider that supports an identified health-related learning need within the school environment; and the student does not require crisis intervention.

How do you access services?

All referrals must be generated by a school administrator or resource support and submitted to RVS Lead Psychologist Chris Pawluk for consideration.
