Cochrane Activettes Food Bank

About the organization

The Cochrane Activettes is a not-for-profit society comprised of a group of women who are dedicated to helping those less fortunate, by engaging in charitable welfare projects and/or civic work within the community. The Activettes run the Cochrane Food Bank and provide food hampers for individuals/families in need. To help fund its various programs, the Cochrane Activettes also run the The Clothesline, a gently used clothing store that services Cochrane area clients. The Cochrane Activettes also:

  • offer catering services,
  • run Meals to Go, a program that delivers lunch time meals to seniors and those unable to leave their house,
  • provide food supplies to schools,
  • host Blood Donor Clinics, and
  • support various other service projects and community organizations throughout the year.

Who can access these services?

Individuals/families living within the Town of Cochrane boundaries (east to Calgary limits, south to Bragg Creek, north to Cremona, west to Morley) can access services offered by the Cochrane Activettes.

How do you access services?

Individuals/families looking to receive food hampers must contact Family and Community Support Services at 403.851.2255 or visit #1- 209 Second Ave., Cochrane between 8:30 am - 4:30 pm, Monday through Friday. All other services can be accessed directly through the Cochrane Activettes.
