Prince of Peace Consultation

RVS was recently notified that the lease for the Prince of Peace Lutheran School property is being terminated effective Aug. 5, 2022, leaving no option to remain in the facility. The Board of Trustees has started the formal process to explore the future of the school, which will begin with a public consultation.

A timeline of key events for the school closure consideration for the school is as follows:

April 14, 2021 – Public Meeting

  • Location/Time:; 6:30 – 8:30 p.m.
  • Purpose: Discuss current situation with the lease, provide information about the current enrolment, describe possible options for the school given the lease termination, describe how the Board will solicit feedback.

April 14 to 28, 2021 – Written Submissions to the Board of Trustees

  • Location/Time: Online
  • Purpose: An opportunity for stakeholders to provide written, emailed submissions no later than April 28, 2021, at 5 p.m. via

May 6, 2021 – Delegations to the Board of Trustees

May 13, 2021 – Board Decision

  • Location/Time: Online via Zoom at 10 a.m.
  • Purpose: The Board will consider the future of Prince of Peace Lutheran School at its public Board meeting. A notice will be issued to all stakeholders regarding any decision following the adjournment of the public meeting.
