Preschool Intervention Program

About Preschool Intervention

Rocky View’s Preschool Intervention Program (PIP) is a publicly funded, early intervention program designed to support children aged 3 to 5 years old who have been identified with severe developmental needs. PIP provides children with the opportunity to increase their independence, develop social-emotional, self-regulation and school-readiness skills in an environment where individuality is celebrated.

PIP offers a developmentally appropriate, language-rich, play-based program in which therapeutic interventions are embedded within daily classroom activities and routines. The PIP team includes a certified teacher, speech-language pathologist, occupational therapist, physical therapist, psychologist, family-school liaison as well as classroom assistants who work collaboratively to plan instruction and intervention to meet the unique needs of each child.

Family Oriented Planning Sessions

FOPS are an integral part of programming with the goal of engaging and educating parents to support their child’s on-going growth and development.
