School Re-Entry Survey Results

From June 18 to June 25, 17,282 stakeholders across the jurisdiction participated in Rocky View Schools' School Re-Entry Survey. Highlights of the survey were presented to the Board of Trustees, July 9, 2020.

School Re-Entry Survey Results

On June 18, 2020, parents/guardians, staff and students in Gr. 7 - 11 were emailed a school re-entry survey, which sought to gather feedback from stakeholders regarding Alberta Education’s 2020/21 School Re-Entry Plan, released April 30, 2020. The plan outlines three possible scenarios:

1) In-school classes resume (near normal with health measures) 
2) In-school classes partially resume (with additional health measures) 
3) At-home learning continues (in-school classes are suspended/cancelled)

The survey closed June 25, 2020, after generating 17,282 responses. Achieving the highest level of survey responses received in RVS over the past four years, outside of RVS’ annual satisfaction survey, the survey revealed that the majority of stakeholders prefer to resume classes with health measures under near-normal operations.
