For Children Who Need Support Early

Rocky View’s Preschool Intervention Program (PIP) is a publicly funded, early intervention program designed to support children aged 3 to 5 years old who have been identified with severe developmental needs. PIP provides children with the opportunity to increase their independence and develop social-emotional, self-regulation and school-readiness skills in an environment where individuality is celebrated.

To be eligible for PIP, children must be at least 3 years of age on or before September 1 of the application year. Children with severe developmental, medical, social-emotional, and/or behavioural needs will take priority over children with mild/moderate needs and English Language Learners.

Rocky View Schools' PIP programs are located in East Lake (Chestermere), Cooper's Crossing and R.J. Hawkey (Airdrie) and Elizabeth Barrett (Cochrane). All programs run Monday through Thursday (am or pm), with Fridays dedicated to family programming. Before registering your child, please review the important documentation you'll need on hand.
