    CPAWS: Curriculum Linked Snowshoe Trips
    Locations: Brown Lowery, Penstock, Sibbald Lake and new this year - Ole Buck Loop (so close to Calgary!). Ole Buck is a beautiful mix of forests and meadows, giving ample opportunities for nature interpretation and games.
    School Nutrition Resources
    The following resources and activities can help your school to promote healthy eating and implement the Alberta Nutrition Guidelines for Children and Youth. Alberta Health Services (AHS) staff are available to support you. AHS provides free consultation and professional learning for schools.
    Ambrose University Professional Standards Certification
    Ambrose University is pleased to be offering Professional Standards Certification for any teacher who currently holds a Permanent Certification and is interested in obtaining the Principal Certification as part of their professional standing.
    Alberta Tomorrow Free Teacher Resources
    Alberta Tomorrow is a FREE educational tool that has been developed to for use with K-12 as well as university and college curricula.The Alberta Tomorrow simulator is an educational tool that helps you to understand the process of sustainable planning to balance land-uses such as agriculture, oil and gas and forestry with ecological integrity.You can also collect, geotag and save water sampling data, images, video and other observations.

    Youth Suicide Prevention
    As part of the new provincial action plan on youth suicide prevention, RVS will be rolling out a range of evidence-based practices in the fall to complement and extend existing prevention efforts already taking place within the jurisdiction. The Learning Supports branch will be offering face-to-face and online training, based on a recently developed Suicidal Ideating Risk Assessment and intervention protocol, similar to the Non-Suicidal Self-Injury protocol that schools are already using. Mental Health First Aid Training and ASIST workshops also are a great resource. Schools are asked to display the attached poster in the interim as it includes valuable information such as important support/hotline numbers in case of emergency.
