Canada's leading provider of educational media is proud to offer instant on-demand access to over 3,500 full length and 20,000 clip level educational video programs. This web based program has award winning content accessible 24 hours a day 7 seven days a week. Educators can search, stream and download content that has been correlated to provincial curriculum. They are committed to being a leader in the digital On Demand delivery of this content to educational institutions and to individual Canadian households, and to effectively serve Canadian learners of all ages.

Grades 8-12 also have access to the separate site of “Jobs People Do” which is available using the link on the Access Learning home page (bottom right corner). This website strives to be an excellent one stop career resource for students. It has been primarily designed for the 1.8 million plus Canadian students, ages 12-18 who are required to identify career choices that interest them, and select the appropriate academic requirements needed for a career in that chosen field. It offers over 500 job videos, job profiles, a free resume builder, career quizzes, campus life advice, relevant student articles, contests, and much more.

School Uses:

  • Teachers can embed videos or clips in their online learning environments.
  • Teachers can create playlists and email them to their students.
  • Students can login at anytime to view suggested videos or search for their own content to supplement their learning.
  • Teachers are able to view the Alberta curriculum relevance per video.

Technical Requirements

When accessing videos, be sure to choose the MP4 video stream, as it works the best in our environment. This is usually through the Quicktime icon.

Accounts & Passwords

Staff and students are able to create individual accounts in Access Learning.  This allows them to create their own playlists and personalize their viewing experience.  Staff need to login to Plone to view the documents that explain this process and give you access to the promo codes.  DO NOT click on "Interested in a free trial."  Please follow the directions in the documentation.
For Jobs People Do, the login is specific to each school and may be obtained from the SchoolTech.
