Early Years

RVS is committed to providing exceptional early childhood programming within a welcoming and inclusive environment.

Early intervention is important for children who require additional supports and services to grow and thrive. Our Pre-Kindergarten Program is available at select schools to support this and provides a strong foundation for later learning. Its play-based approach helps foster cognitive, social, emotional and physical skills in children who are between the ages of two years, eight months and four years, eight months on Sept. 1 of the application year.

Our Kindergarten programs are in all elementary schools and help children to further develop skills they have learned at home and in the community. Children will enhance their skills in language arts, math, social studies, science and the arts while improving personal and social skills. Kindergarten is a voluntary program for children who are five years of age by December 31 of the school year the child begins Kindergarten.

Land Acknowledgment

Rocky View Schools would like to acknowledge the land and recognize all the Indigenous Peoples whose footprints have marked these lands from time immemorial. Together, we can learn and honour the Ways of Knowing of Indigenous Peoples for all future generations.
