It Takes A Whole Village to Raise a Child

Volunteer Record Checks
Will you be volunteering at your child's school during the 2014/15 school year? If so, you'll need to submit a criminal record check to the school or if you submitted one in the last five years, you'll need to sign and submit an Annual Statutory Declaration Form for Volunteers.
Modular Classrooms Update
RVS' Maintenance Department has worked diligently over the summer to relocate and install modular classrooms in high growth areas in the jurisdiction. Here's an update on the Department's progress.
Back To School Kit
Students, parents, and teachers can access helpful tips on getting a positive and healthy start to the new school year with a new online Back to School toolkit. This toolkit is part of Alberta Education's commitment to share resources that help students and their families, as well as teachers, make a positive, safe, and healthy transition into a new school year.

2014 Attendance Area Changes
Airdrie and Chestermere families will want to note new attendance area boundaries will come into effect in September 2014 to accommodate three new schools!

Airdrie Tri-School Consultation
Discussions regarding the accommodation of RVS' growing student population at the Airdrie tri-school site have begun. To start the process, the topic has been introduced at Edwards, École Airdrie Middle, and George McDougall parent council meetings.
High School Dual Credit Program Announced!
This fall Springbank Community High School, in partnership with Mount Royal University and Bow Point Nursery, will offer a Natural Resources Management and Environmental Science Program.
