Mount Assiniboine Expedition
Guest Blog: BVHS Student – The Mount Assiniboine ski expedition marked the end of an era for the intrepid explorers of the Bow Valley Grade 12 Outdoor Leadership class. This five day expedition to the slopes of Mount Assiniboine and back was the culmination of four years of hard work, and the ideal way to wrap up our time in the Outdoor Leadership program.
Taking Learning To New Heights!
The BVHS Outdoor Leadership (ODL) 30 backcountry ski tour to Mount Assiniboine from Mar. 27 to Apr. 1, 2014, was a tremendous success! It is the last ODL field trip these grade 12 students will take in their high school years, and it was amazing!

Airdrie Schools to Follow Divisional Calendar
The Board of Trustees declined two alternate calendar proposals for the Airdrie schools of Ralph McCall, C.W. Perry, and Herons Crossing, Mar. 20.
RVS Approves 2015 - 2018 Capital Plan
Despite opening six new schools between 2014 to 2016, at a growth rate of 1100 students per year Rocky View Schools’ (RVS) utilization rate will be 102.3 percent by 2018, unless additional new schools are announced.
2014 Attendance Area Changes
Airdrie and Chestermere families will want to note new attendance area boundaries will come into effect in September 2014 to accommodate three new schools!
