Alberta Education Assurance Survey Closes March 1

Posted on

The Alberta Education Assurance Survey (AES) is now open for students in Grades 4, 7 and 10, (including online schools), teachers and parents/guardians.

Alberta Education uses the data to assess the quality of education provided by school divisions and their schools. Rocky View Schools (RVS) uses this information to understand how we are doing and to help schools plan.

The survey is available online and submissions close March 1. Packages were sent to parents/guardians via Canada Post which include:

  • a Parent Notification Letter containing information about the survey;
  • a letter containing a Random Access Code (RAC) and a QR code for accessing the survey online; and
  • instructions for accessing the survey in other languages.

Parents/guardians should contact their school(s) with any questions upon receiving the survey package.

One survey is to be completed for each child and parents/guardians will receive a separate RAC for each child. Responding to the survey is entirely voluntary; however, RVS encourages all parents/guardians to provide their input as this information helps schools with future planning.

The same questions are asked each year to assess how schools are performing over time.

All responses are anonymous. For further information, please contact RVS’ Schools department.

Land Acknowledgment

Rocky View Schools would like to acknowledge the land and recognize all the Indigenous Peoples whose footprints have marked these lands from time immemorial. Together, we can learn and honour the Ways of Knowing of Indigenous Peoples for all future generations.
