Christian Programs

Faith-Based Programming

For families who want their children taught in a spiritually nurturing and intellectually challenging environment, RVS offers a Christian education program in Airdrie, Cochrane and Chestermere.

Cochrane Christian Academy offers Kindergarten – Grade 8 students the chance to complete Alberta’s program of studies in a non-denominational Christian classroom environment with Bible instruction.

A Chestermere Christian Program is available for Kindergarten – Grade 6 at East Lake School and for Grades 7 – 9 at Chestermere Lake Middle School, if enrolment is sufficient to make the program viable.

R.J. Hawkey and Meadowbrook schools in Airdrie also offer Christian programming.

Curriculum

All Christian programs follow Alberta’s Programs of Study with biblical instruction in a classroom environment. Outside of offering a solid core program – complemented by a wide variety of options, extracurricular activities, service projects and missions – religious education centred on the Christian faith is also considered a core program.

Benefits of a Christian Education

RVS' Christian programs equip learners with timeless principles to help guide them through life. Through daily devotions and prayer, formal Christian studies, weekly chapel and foundations of faith woven into daily learnings in natural ways, students are encouraged to build an active, growing relationship with Christ, while demonstrating respect, responsibility, caring, integrity, honesty, forgiveness and empathy.
