Share your thoughts on RVS’ draft Four-Year Education Plan

Posted on

The 2023/24 school year will mark the beginning of a new Four-Year Education Plan (Education Plan), and RVS is excited to continue to gather feedback to help shape it. This education plan and its yearly updates are submitted to the government each spring to outline RVS’ priorities and strategies to achieve strong learning results and ensure a positive learning environment for all students. The current Four-Year Education Plan, 2019 – 2023 Innovators by Design, is in its fourth and final year.

The new education plan’s draft goals and outcomes are consistent with our 2022 - 2026 Strategic Plan, informed by nearly 30,000 comments from our community of stakeholders. The draft goals and outcomes were also shaped from valuable staff feedback obtained during a professional learning day in February.

Student, parent, staff and community feedback into this plan is vital to ensure the division is focused in areas that are most important to meeting students’ needs now and preparing them for the future. We turn to you once again for your input. Please share your thoughts with us on the draft goals and outcomes in an online survey through RVSEngage. The survey will close April 14 at 5 p.m.

This feedback will be used to refine and finalize the 2023 – 2027 Education Plan, which will be provided to the Board of Trustees for consideration at its May 25, 2023, public meeting.

Thank you for taking the time to share your thoughts with us. More information about previous Four-Year Education Plans, the Strategic Plan and the Annual Education Results Report (where we report progress on the goals in our Education Plan), can be found on the Plans & Results page.
