Choose How Your Child/ren Access Education This Fall

With four ways for your child/ren to be educated this year, RVS needs to hear from families, by 9 a.m., Aug. 24, 2020, about which learning delivery approach your child/ren will take.

Due to health concerns and parental choice related to the pandemic, RVS families may choose to access education for their child/ren in various ways for the 2020/21 school year. As we described in our school entry documents in early July, families have a choice to:

  • continue to send their child/ren to school for in-class learning
  • engage in a new online learning program being offered by RVS for Gr. 1 - 12
  • homeschool their child(ren)
  • pursue other providers outside of RVS for an online or home school option and withdraw from RVS

To ensure there is time to prepare for both online learning and face-to-face instruction offered by each school, we need to hear from you by 9 a.m. on Aug. 24, 2020. We are asking every RVS family to tell us what your intentions are for each of your children through this online form. If we do not hear from you, we will assume your children will be attending face-to-face instruction at their registered school. It is important to note that families will have a one-time opportunity to change from either online or face-to-face learning (Feb. 1, 2021).

Our website continues to be the central repository for RVS School Re-Entry plans where you can find more information about:

If you have further questions, it is best to connect with the Schools Department at 403.945.4016 before Aug. 24, 2020, and your school administrator after Aug. 24, 2020.
