End-of-Year Gratitude from your RVS Board
Posted onDear Rocky View Schools Families,
As the school year draws to a close, the Board of Trustees extends our heartfelt thanks for trusting Rocky View Schools (RVS) to support your children’s learning journey. It is truly a privilege to serve your family, and we are grateful for the partnership we share in nurturing the growth and success of every student.
We deeply appreciate the ongoing support from our communities. Whether through attending school events, volunteering in classrooms, participating in consultations, or advocating for public education, your involvement makes a difference. Working together, we create strong, inclusive and enriching learning environments where all students can learn, belong and succeed.
This year has brought many reasons to celebrate. We proudly opened a new school in Langdon, providing more space for students to learn and grow close to home. Thanks to our communities’ strong advocacy efforts with the government, we are making steady progress in addressing the needs of our growing division. Our dedicated teachers and staff continue to support students in building strong skills in reading, writing, math and essential skills to prepare them for the future, while fostering welcoming classrooms that value and reflect the diversity of our school communities. Most of all, we celebrate the success of students who inspire us with their curiosity, creativity and achievements.
While there is much to celebrate, we recognize ongoing challenges. Securing fair and adequate funding remains a priority as inflationary costs rise, enrolment increases and operational pressures grow. We remain committed to strong academic outcomes and addressing teacher and staff shortages. Supporting student well-being and creating respectful, safe, learning environments are priorities we share with families and staff. Together, we will continue to seek thoughtful solutions that prioritize the best interests of our students.
Thank you for being an integral part of the RVS community. Our strength as a school division is enhanced through the dedication of parents, guardians and families like yours. We are grateful to be a part of your child’s learning and remain committed to working together to support each student’s success.
On behalf of the Board of Trustees, we wish you and your family a safe, restful and enjoyable summer. We look forward to welcoming you back for a new school year filled with opportunity, growth and promise.
All the best,
Fiona Gilbert
