Bell Let's Talk Day

Tomorrow is Bell Let's Talk Day. In Rocky View Schools, students' mental and emotional wellness are key priorities. On Jan. 29, 2020, the jurisdiction encourages everyone to show their support by talking about mental health and removing the stigma, which is often attached to mental health issues.

Promoting Mental and Emotional Wellness in Rocky View Schools

Mental health can impact students' learning and overall well-being. Rocky View Schools (RVS) is committed to supporting mental wellness by helping its students to develop the necessary skills to manage their thoughts and emotions, which promote positive behaviours. To help further develop these skills, RVS also promotes parent workshops, which discuss such topics as childhood stress and anxiety and how to implement useful strategies for parents to support their child.

On Jan. 29, 2020, RVS will show its support for Bell Let's Talk Day by promoting conversation around mental health. For every applicable text, call, tweet, social media video view and use of Bell's Facebook Frame or Snapchat filter, Bell will contribute 5¢ towards mental health initiatives. To date, Bell has donated approximately $100.6 million to mental health programs. Show your support on Jan. 29 by talking about mental health. Let's talk!

If you are experiencing a crisis, visit your local hospital or call 9-1-1 immediately.
