Ralph McCall School Applauded by Board of Trustees

For their efforts in examining issues and factors around the City of Airdrie's water conservation by-laws, two Ralph McCall teachers and their students were recognized by the Board, Jan. 9, 2020.

Fostering Students' Interest in STEAM

Alongside their teachers Nancy Cole and Michelle Bechtold, Gr. 2/3 students from Ralph McCall School were celebrated by the Board of Trustees for their work researching water/liquid collection and its use and movement in the community. Applying Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Math (STEAM) principles, the group initiated a water conservation project, which led to a $5,000 grant from the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Alberta (APEGA). A Celebration of Learning for all APEGA grant recipients will be held in May 2020.
