Trustees Celebrate Students' First-Year on The Farm

Since September 2019, Rocky View Schools' The Farm has provided a group of Gr. 9/10 students with a unique opportunity to learn how agricultural practices apply to backyard and urban environments, as well as large scale farming operations.

Life is Good on The Farm

Rocky View Schools Board of Trustees recognized a group of 33 students and their teachers for taking part in the jurisdiction's inaugural year of The FarmUnder the guidance of teachers Mark Turner and Matt Chomistek, this enthusiastic group of Gr. 9/10 students have been learning beyond the four walls of the traditional classroom. This month in Olds, a select group of students will participate in Inside Education's Cultiv8, a student conference that aims to develop projects centred around agriculture, sustainability, innovation and technology.
