Volunteers Needed!

Volunteers are needed for RVS’ Breakfast program. It only takes one hour, one day a month to make a difference.

Food for Thought Program

To ensure students are ready to learn, Rocky View Schools (RVS) is proud to offer Food For Thought, a collaboration partnering health organizations, schools and the community. With their support, Food for Thought provides students with a nutritious breakfast, lunch and or snacks in a secure environment to improve their ability to learn, all while supporting a positive classroom environment for students and teachers. A full-time program is currently offered at 18 RVS schools, while six others have a part-time/modified program.

How to Help

Food For Thought is a non-profit organization, fully funded by grants, donations, volunteers and in-kind services. Individuals can help the program through donating their time – even one hour a month will make a huge impact. Those wanting to participate can complete the following forms HR 103/10 Confidentiality and Non-Disclosure and HR 104/10 Criminal Record/Vunerable Sector Check and return them to their local school administrator. Monetary donations also are accepted through Canadahelps.org.

For more information about Food For Thought, visit the webpage or contact the RVS Community Partner Program Coordinator, 403.945.4069.
