Trustees Approve Spending Plan for Safe Return to Class Fund

At their Oct. 8, 2020, meeting, RVS Board of Trustees approved the spending plan for the $9.2 million allocated to Rocky View Schools through the federal government's Safe Return to Class Fund.

Funds to Be Used Towards Supporting Safe Return to Class

Following the provincial government’s Sept. 2, 2020, announcement that it will allocate $262.8 million to public school jurisdictions, independent school authorities and early childhood services authorities, Rocky View Schools (RVS) Board of Trustees approved the jurisdiction’s amended spending plan.

RVS was granted $9.2 million through through the Government of Canada’s Safe Return to Class Fund to help cover additional costs for COVID-19-related school measures.
